More than a week ago, a group of students from one of our local universities decided to take me as one of their subject matter in their project. They had to prepare a short documentary on people. It seems I was recommended to them by a friend of mine and truth be told, I felt honored. So after a whole day of shooting (which later you can see how clean my room is...heh...yeah rite...) the did the editing and uploaded in on 'youtube'.

My 30th Birthday Get Together

OOOOOOkay...I know I'll get murdered for this, but its been a month plus since my birthday and now only I'm blogging about it. What to do...I'm a lousy blogger...but only in Friendster aite...

Anyhoo, my birthday was last month on the 8th. It was my 30th. Yep...i've hit the big 3-0...man, i cant believe that i'm 30 already, but how come i don't feel like one? Well, my luvbug planned sumthing for me. it was a total surprise and i can't believe that she thru a lot of trouble and summore with frens who came over despite the traffic since it was nearing hari raya.

All i can say is thanks. from the bottom of my heart. maybe i don't say as much to my luvbug and my frens, but i really appreciated wat y'all went thru for me.

As it happens, 2 days before my official birthday, luvbug planned a small surprise get together. she was planning it for a week plus and i think once it was over she felt so relieved. coincidently, it was also the same day my bunch of frens from high school did a reunion! she begged me not to go and i was thinking that maybe, just maybe it was becoz i was going off to Tganu for my raya holidays.

Heh...so much for that thought...

Went for a movie earlier that day with luvbug, fahmy (my new found gud buddy) and general zodie (well, he aint a general...but i jst like to call him that..). once the movie was over, we hung out till berbuka. at the same time i met up with another fren who came to send his projects to me (34 freakin transformer alternators to be repainted! u can check out my side business here ---> RK Designs )

I was getting worried since i saw the hordes of people coming in as early as 5.30pm to get a place to seat for 'berbuka'! but luvbug was 'unusually' calm along with my two buddies (which it only occured to me how come this two fellas were free on this particular saturday?)

well, as the story goes...i had a big surprise to see a table set up at Dominos. and the table was quite long coupled with a buncha chairs. all i was thinking that time was..'ermm...huh?' totally lost for words but soon my good friends started to roll in and in the end, the table was full.

i was deeply touched and i couldnt describe the feeling i had. to see ppl who i have come to see as really good friends coming over to have dinner with me...celebrating my birthday. with cake and all...

spread out we ate heartily and it was cake eating time. taking out their cameras they started taking pics and for the first time in my life i felt like a celebrity (hahahahahahahaha). the cake was good, the company was the best and i owe it all to my dear LuvBug...thanks Sayang!

gifts? well...its not what i would expected nor would i have asked but my friends still manage to get me gifts...THANKS A BUNCH Y'ALL! LOVE YA!

all in all it was a great birthday for me!

An Update

It's been awhile i've updated this blog. A reaaaaallly long while...

So wat's been happening to me lately? Well...let's see..a few months back i lost my job, got a new part time job, manage to do my freelancing to be a my sole income (at the moment), finally seeing a lot of ugliness in the world of toy collecting and at the same time...

okay..so lets start with me losing my job. found out only 3 days before my contract expired. and summore i decided to finish my leaves that was left with 3 days...hahaha..automatically the day i found out that my contract wasn't gonna be renewed was my last day. it sucked at first...it took me some time to take it in...but i guess it was for the better...

i was hating my job day after day. but cud never find a way to get the hell out. so i guess God gave me a push...

it was a good push...

thats where i started to evaluate my life. wat the heck have i been doing all this while. and seriously, i didnt know that losing my job was the best thing that ever happened to me. (imagine this..6 years of loyalty and working there..i had an increament of only rm200..yeh..sucked to be me..)

so wat have i been doing? for the first two months, well, thank to God that my commission work hit it off good. with the help of friends and my loved one (thats u love buggy) i was able to get a good nice income per week. it may not be much but it was enough to get me going..slowly my reputation started to generate much attention and with the help of Monkticon, James (Toy Workers) and Robotcon 2007, RK DESIGNS was officially pimped out.

i was doing sumthing i loved and got paid for it! now tell me..isnt that the life ppl have been wanting? its stress free and totally no boss to kick me ard!!

watever it is another thing that i realised the reason i lost my job was to help out my parents. ever since my mum had her operation, she had to go to the hospital quite frequently..and since i was available, i was charged with ferrying me mum ard..it felt good and it was nice since the drive would give me a chance to talk with my mum abt a lot of stuff. chilling out with my lil bro (since he was the navigator)..it was good..seriously..

recently i manage to get hold of a part time job. LECTURING! imagine me..giving lectures in front of class..hahaha..i never thought that i'd be doing that but with the help of some of my dad's frens (which i am so grateful) they manage to get me some slots to teach. so there i go..teaching to 50+ students in basic computer technology. oh yeah, the classes were broken up into two and i'm teaching adobe illustrator and photoshop..

it was cool coz i'm teaching the diploma classes and they were fresh out of school. yeah u get the usual class clowns and timid students, but i can see that most of them were really there to learn. i manage to remember some of their names since they were always asking me stuff...but i intend to remember all of their names..so we'll see..btw, my classes are only 2 days a week and each day is abt 5 hours. 2 hours of lecture and 3 hours of tutorial. get this..and i'm getting rm2k+ if my calculations are correct. so tell me, wat more can i ask?!

alrite..for the final installement, the ugliness of toy collecting. i can assume everyone has seen the transformers movie rite? if u haven't then shame on u! hahahaha..anyhoo..ever since the movie debuted, transformer toys has been selling like hot cakes..and the arrival of GODDAMN SCALPERS are everywhere!! to be honest i dont give a fuck abt the movie toys anymore since i think they kinda sucked (okay, before someone comments that i bought some, i was bought in by the goddamn hype..wen i manage to get my hands on some..i realized they were crappy..so i sold them all off!! muahahahahaha)

now abt this goddamn scalpers...they get they're grubby hands as much as they can for retail price at shopping centres. meaning they try to buy as much as they can. and for ur info, they're not even fans or collectors. they're scum..oops..sorry..businessman. they keep it and in a few months they sell it at a very high price. either double or triple the normal retail price! i'm sadden becoz i can see that the movie manage to give ppl a new insight abt transformers. not to mention getting the new generation to love these robots in disguise. do u know how sad it is wen these lil ppl watched the movie and plans to get their fav character but alas..it was not to be seen at any toy section?

thats how bad those fucking scalpers are. if i'd had a sniper rifle. i'd try to take out as many of these scalpers as i can.

c'mon u bastards, give ppl the chance to own the toys. if u believe in karma. u'll get it back at u 1000 fold. so i hope u all die a miserable death and may u all burn in hell..amen..

one more thing before i sign off. to those cheap fucking bastards. yes. those who says that my commission work fee is expensive. all i can say to u is..FUCK OFF. i swear to God that i'll ever take a job from u. i'm not being arrogant, i'm just saying that i have a lot more of loyal customers who thinks that my fee is a good deal and affordable. i even make it to be made into two payments. if u think u can find someone who can do it cheaper, go ahead. and if u doubt my work quality, again i say..FUCK OFF. if my work quality wasnt good, why do my customers keep coming back? so to u fucking posers who think that wat i do is expensive, u can take ur figs and shove it up ur ass so deep that the next thought would be shit coz its filling up ur brain since ur fucking asshole is clogged up.

yes..i'm pissed. i'm pissed with this fucking morons who think wat i do is easy. they can have a go at it and if it doesnt work out. dont call me coz i will ignore u bastards and laugh my head off coz of ur fucking ignorance.

and i also realised that sometimes u shudnt rely on ppl so much. u get hurt that way. so to my frens, remember to always OUTSOURCE and keep ur eyes open and ur ears sharp. good deals are ard and if u need anything, dont hesitate to ask me ya..

okay..on a lighter note.

- RK DESIGNS has now been registered and is a full functioning business.
- i'm stress free and living my life lite and easy.
- i get to spend time with my lovebug and frens.
- i just celebrated my 3rd year anniversary with LuvBug!! (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEAR!)

alrite..thats enough of my rant to cover the last few months. i hope the next time i write sumthing here, it would be sumthing more...

LuvBug's Birthday

Last Saturday (14th April - error repaired Anis..heh) the Red Team and me managed to pull off a surprise party meant for my beloved LuvBug (despite her bday falls on the 15th..heh). After a week plus worth of planning, we did it. There was a lot of 'honest-lying' during that time and a bunch of covert operations done to make it happen.

How did this all come to be? Let's jump back one year ago. LuvBug wanted a small get together with some of her close frens to celebrate her bday. We set a time to meet up at nite, but then the weather wasn't in the plan (it rained most of the time) and all the frens she hoped to be there din show up. And in the end, we had to go to two places with a mere 4-5 frens. No bday cake. No presents (except frm me) and definitely no fun. Later that nite, wen i sent her home, she cried. She cried becoz she was sad that wat she wanted to happen didnt happen. Wat she ecpected that nite was a disappointment. All i cud do that time was listen and at each of her sobs, i cried inside as well. I wish i cud have turned back time and re-do the whole thing. But i'm not God. So i made a promise to myself that next year, she will have a bday that she wont ever forget. I stuck to that promise.

Fast forward one year later. In the course of time, i met a group of people whom i have come to trust and care. They know my dear LuvBug just as much as they know me. We can say that we've become a small family. And with the help of this new family, i was able to make my promise come true.

It was so covert that LuvBug didnt even smell it even a mile away (she has this mutant ability to sniff out my surprises). Even on that saturday, she wasnt feeling well and even scolded me coz it seemed like i din care of her condition (ur forgiven my dear..hehehe). Mike even played a small role in making it look like he just got up frm a nap.

Until she went in the house. SURPRISE!!!

We had KFC and then the Keroro Cake (custom made) and watched Kamen Rider Den-O then a movie. After that it was the 'present-breaking' session!

Mike seemed to have more fun playing with LuvBug's presents...hah!

Then...amidst the present opening and laughter...i accidently opened a web forum that was so wrong...it was *gasp* TURTLE PORN!! (just kidding..it was a turtle forum which i was reading up to see how to take care of my turtles better..erm..real live ones okay..)

Later at nite, everybody just hung out and had some good ol' fashion Red Team fun...

And last but not least, our normal ritual...the Obscene-Toy-Pose-Sessions...the theme this time around was, 'Turtle Love'.

All in all it was a great and fun bday eve LuvBug had. Her smile and laughter made us feel that it was worth the trouble that we went thru.

I for one, would like to thank the Red Team Mike, Anis, MC and Sparty (if the rest of the team was there, i think it would have been more chaotic..heh..). I really appreciate what u guys pulled thru for me and i will always remember and cherish it. Thank you all again.

And to LuvBug. Happy birthday my dearest.

A Good Laugh Helps

Last nite Luvbug and me hung out at our usual dinner area (we have a few but last nite was at USJ 24...we lovingly call it Bikini Bottom..why? Hang out with us and u'll know..). Anyways, we had a good dinner despite being hungry earlier, the rain cudn't stop pouring its heart out and we had trouble getting to our designated area.

Upon reaching the mamak there, Luvbug orders her usual 'telur bungkus' and me 'daging merah'. Mike ordered the same with Luvbug and we ate heartily (trust me...sometimes i think that Mike and Lavonne is related in some way..hahaha). Once we got our tummys full, as usual we would start some kind of conversation. Mike would tell his story, i would plonk in mine and Luvbug would keep asking questions since she's very detailed and a journalist to boot. heh.

Sparty soon joined and we still talked about a bunch of things be it abt past experience or bitchin. hahahahaha. yeah. we do the occasional bitchin but...wat the heck rite?

Once the food reaches its destination, thats where our brain goes overdrive. Cracking jokes, and coming up with insane and obscure situations that gets us laughing like nobody's business.

You must be wondering what the heck is my point? Well, despite we're laughing our heads off at that time, u shud all know that all of us are having problems (who doesnt rite?) and most of it is monetary. but wat amazes me is our ability to sit and talk and as though for that moment our problems just went away and we enjoyed ourselves.

What Luvbug said to me last nite, "Good food and good company".

Yeah, i think thats it. And after a good laugh until our tears were out, we felt rejuvenated. As though that these problems arent as bad as it is. I guess thats the power of friendship.

What i can say it would have been a bigger blast with the remaining Red Team members. Crash, Anis and MC. If the whole group was there...it would have been much more...chaotic. we do it a lot of times, at Sri Petaling's Oh La La. (seriously, we missed u guys)

People might give us the usual 'wat-the-heck-are-these-weirdos' look. Who cares. We're among friends and we laugh together and not at one another. Thats the spirit of true friends. And i will honour these people forever.

ps: We do the occasional insulting, but no matter what, we can still laugh together about it. and thats wats so great about the Red Team.

oh yeah, the Red Team's agenda in May. We're all going to K.Kangsar! Yeeehaaa...(if u wanna know wat...wait for us to update our blogs..)
